Zoning laws

The government needs to start abiding by established zoning laws, stop backroom deals, and put residents ahead of corporate projects. The state is pushing data centers that use massive amounts of electricity and water, create few jobs, and still get tax incentives. Citizens do not want these in our communities. In York County, permits for the Silfab plant were issued even after the Board of Zoning Appeals ruled the use did not fit the property’s light-industrial zoning, and residents filed lawsuits. Stop ignoring zoning laws.
