We need a wage increase, more resources for people needing assistance, and we need affordable housing&energy

A single person should be able to live off of minimum wage. That includes the cost of a car, insurance for the car, and gas to get to and from work/home/errands. That includes affordable housing (30% of a 40 hour week at minimum wage- $7.25/hr), energy costs that match minimum wage, as well as food costs. This is the bare minimum. People need to be able to afford to get to work, afford a safe place to live, and afford a basic life. When phone bills are nearly $200, car payments are $500+, insurance $200-300, we need serious legislation to enact change.
