Validation Before Enforcement: Rebuilding Trust Through Verifiable Government Systems

From "Welcome to The South Carolina Forum!"

Trust isn’t built through messaging—it’s built through verifiable process. State systems should not take action on incomplete or unvalidated records. Every enforcement decision (benefits, housing, child support, licensing) should require: • a complete and consistent record • traceable data sources • documented reasoning • a visible audit trail Without that, transparency is performative and accountability is impossible The solution is a validation-before-enforcement model where the system must prove the integrity of its data before acting on a person.
