Dominion Energy has continued to raise rates to an unaffordable level, since they took over from the previous monopoly, SCE&G. The most recent rate increase request will raise residential customer rates by 12.73% or $20.00 per month! As a retiree, this has a huge impact on me. The PSC never denies a rate increase, and they do not answer to the public. We need a better way to manage rate increases, or bring in some competition. SC has some of the most expensive rates in the nation.

I assume you have never been to a PSC Hearing. I haven't ever been to one either. Mainly because they are BORING......and discuss nuances foreign to us. What the PSC (as a public service) could do is have an AI Bot summarize the entire meeting so a 5th grader can understand it. (not that you have a 5th grade level brain) . The Bot can be worked to favor the PSC, so maybe a contract with a 3rd party specializing in meeting recaps would be in order. JotMe, Summary AI and tl;dv come to mind.
