SC has some of the weakest water‑protection laws in the nation and lacks:
• environmental‑review for chemical‑using industries
• cumulative‑impact analysis
• groundwater & surface‑water protections
• industrial water‑use disclosure
• real‑time spill alerts
• buffer zones near schools & waterways
• a statewide water‑outage dashboard
• limits on high‑consumption industrial withdrawals
• basin‑wide and intrastate river‑monitoring requirements

I agree especially now when the federal government has rolled back many EPA protections. Keep SC clean and beautiful for many years to come for our children and grandchildren!
