Lack of walkability

Columbia has a major sidewalk issue outside of downtown - mainly that there aren’t any sidewalks! It is unsafe for people to try to walk to a park or the store because of the lack of sidewalks, and in areas like Old Shandon, where there are sidewalks, many of them are in need of major repair to be safe for people with mobility or balance issues. A majority of suburban neighborhoods in Cola don’t have sidewalks. I think this issue is especially concerning for people who don’t have access to vehicles, walking on places like frontage roads.
