Florida has had Impact Fees on New Development for 50 Years. These Impact Fees are paid to Counties by the Developers or Builders when they submit a request. These Impact Fees have Not deterred Development in Florida as Florida has seen the largest Influx of new residents over the past 25 years. Counties Councils in South Carolina continually say State Laws deter usefull implementation of Impact Fees. This needs to be addressed. Builders and Developers and new residents must help current residents and Taxpayers bear the high cost of Infrastructure.
