I-20 is a hot mess and we all know it

I-20 through Columbia and its on-/off-ramps - both to I-26 and local roads - are not built for the enormous amount of traffic they currently hold. They are alarmingly dangerous, with wrecks every day. Add express lanes and designate local lanes, and make the merge lanes longer. And for the love of all good things police should ticket aggressively for speeding enforcement. The “Malfunction Junction” fix we keep hearing about isn’t doing squat. Kick it up a notch.
