Freedom Caucus members legislate far right ideologies

Dismissing Freedom Caucus amendments as mere "ideological interventions" that waste time ignores their core purpose: Using the budget process to enforce accountability in a $15.4 billion state spending plan that grew by $1 billion this year. Proposals like verifiable paper ballots strengthen election integrity, reducing funding for a college that reportedly allowed a biological male in women's restrooms protects female students' privacy and safety, limiting state Medicaid dollars from going to non-citizens prioritizes American taxpayers and legal residents, and blocking DEI initiatives or certain abortion education provisions prevents government-funded policies the majority of South Carolinians reject. These aren't distractions, they're legitimate efforts to slow unchecked spending growth, demand fiscal restraint, and ensure taxpayer money aligns with commonsense values rather than progressive ideology. Ruling amendments out of order actually limits debate, while the Freedom Caucus is doing the hard work of representing voters who want smaller, more responsible government and real relief (like expanded homestead exemptions for seniors on property taxes) instead of ever-expanding budgets.

The freedom caucus is an oxymoron to say the least. They are only about freedom for them self and white men of wealth. Recently one of their founders were convicted of child sex abuse. They waste valuable time on the house floor with their nonsense. There are real issues and this so called party hasn't a clue and are a total embarrassment. Just to think they want a woman and anyone who helps her get a legal abortion in another state charged with murder. They are crazy must of been out in that southern sun too long. I just can't believe there are so many of them in agreement on these ridiculous things they bring to the house floor. They are an embarrassment.

Freedom Caucus doesn't represent SC people. Grandstanding for Uber conservatives
