Family Court Streamlining / Judicial Capacity

From "Welcome to The South Carolina Forum!"

Go to the project

SC has some of the longest Family Court wait times in the country because judges handle every issue, even routine matters that other states assign to clerks or magistrates. Families wait months for temporary hearings and years for final ones. SC needs more judges based on population, magistrates or clerks to manage routine filings and enforcement, and modernized administrative processes to reduce delays and keep cases moving.

When I had to deal with family court the judge would just keep kicking the can down the road If he had made definitive decisions at the first hearing we would not have had to keep going over and over again while my child suffered We may not need more judges Get more decisive judges to get things done
