Data Privacy

Cars and home appliances now come with Internet tracking systems and software which may or may not require permission prior to collecting data OR data collection terms are obfuscated with legalese. Any product sold in SC with tracking capabilities should be required to have such hardware be removable at the request of the consumer at no charge. Further, the state should not be permitted to collect any data, including anonymized data without a warrant. It is too easy to append location data to personally identifiable information.
