Closure of SC Youth Challenge Academy

SC Youth Challenge Academy is for children between the ages of 15-1/2 and 18 who need a more structured and disciplined learning environment. It is under The Adjutant General's Office and the National Guard Bureau. It is closing after the current cycle and those cadets graduate in June. There are no other free programs in the state who offer this for free. This program needs a chance to reorganize and stay open. Our current director has not been given a chance to prove that this program is worthwhile and needs to stay open for the good of SC youth.
