Climate Resilience Is Economic Security for South Carolina
From "Welcome to The South Carolina Forum!"
Go to the project
Climate change is already affecting South Carolina’s public health, economy, and safety. Rising temperatures increase heat illness and strain healthcare systems, while stronger storms and flooding threaten homes and infrastructure. Sea level rise is putting coastal communities such as Beaufort County at risk. These impacts also threaten tourism, agriculture, fisheries, and outdoor recreation. Including climate considerations in all new policy will help protect communities, support key industries, and build resilience for the future.
