Child‑Support Modernization / Administrative Reform

From "Welcome to The South Carolina Forum!"

Go to the project

SC’s Family Court backlog is among the longest in the country because judges handle every issue, including routine child‑support math. When a parent challenges an online update, the parent seeking support must pay fees and wait months, which defeats the purpose of an administrative system. SC needs more judges based on population, magistrates or clerks for routine matters, and automated recalculation to reduce delays and keep cases moving.
