Car insurance for children in foster care
From "Welcome to The South Carolina Forum!"
Go to the project
Young adults in foster care need independent living skills to ensure a successful future. Paying for a car insurance policy as an independent teenager is astronomical. Foster families can opt to cover foster children on their policies but that takes up the entire monthly allowance. There should be a way to help foster children pay for car insurance so they can ensure access to independent living skills and opportunities. Or, at the very least, it should be covered by the state if foster parents choose to cover them under their insurance.
